Precautions for making paper cups
6. Outlet compensation
Due to the elasticity of the flexographic plate material, 1% of the dots cannot stand well and are easily lost during printing. 2% of the dots are small dots that can stand when printed, and 2% of the dots often increase to 10%, the small dots on the printed sample are 10%, and the dots below 10% cannot be printed.
At this time, the following methods can be used to cleverly avoid and solve.
⑴Ignore some levels without affecting the printing effect, that is, change the dots below 2% to 2%.
⑵ Change all highlight points below 2% to 2% dots. Because the human eye's perception of color is relative, in some cases it will produce an illusion that 2% of the dots are regarded as highlight points.
⑶ Replace a certain color with other colors. For example, black is often used to replace blue in food packaging, black is used to replace red in leaves, or a light color of the same hue is used to replace dark, etc. The methods are different.
7. Pay attention to the thinning and blanking of the barcode and the thickness of the text line
The lines printed by flexographic printing will generally become thicker, causing the barcode to be smeared. Therefore, the barcode must be narrowed, and the left and right sides must be left blank. Note that the small text lines should be controlled above 0.04mm.
8. Arrange
All the words and patterns in the paper cup must be carefully arranged according to the arc of the circle drawn (the circle of the knife mold), so that the words and patterns are in a horizontal line after the product is wrapped in a cup shape. In the vertical direction, the alignment should be based on a straight line drawn at a certain angle from the center of the circle. This line should be made a few more in the production to facilitate the alignment and calibration of the characters or patterns in different positions. Before arranging, you must pay attention to converting all the text into outline form, so as to facilitate the transfer of a certain line or a few characters, and at the same time avoid the computer replacement due to the lack of the font and the normal work cannot be continued, so the Before arranging the text, you must check whether there is any error in the text input, because it will be quite troublesome to modify the text after the curve is changed.
9. Imposition
Pay attention to the following contents when making paper cups.
⑴The production of layering
The function of the bead is to protect the graphic part (ie solid, line, and continuous image part) on the plate, and prevent the printing plate from moving during printing and the printing process cannot be completed well. With the layering, two solid vertical lines will appear on both sides of the plate, which will serve as the support for Chinese flexo printing during printing. Therefore, the pressure bar must appear on each color plate and be full-color, and each pressure bar must have a "cross line".
⑵ Imposition method
There are two types of paper cup imposition: S type and T type. Different imposition methods can be selected according to the customer's printing paper size.
(3) The obvious feature of the reduced version of the flexographic plate is that it is elastic. When the flexographic plate is installed on the cylindrical cylinder, the printing plate produces bending deformation along the surface of the cylinder. This deformation affects the patterns and characters on the surface of the printing plate, and even serious The deformation. This kind of static deformation in the axial direction of the cylinder after the flexographic plate is installed on the cylinder is always unavoidable. In order to compensate for the distortion of the printed image, it is necessary to reduce the size of the corresponding graphic on the negative film. When designing manuscripts or color separations before plate making, the elongation of the printing plate should be considered, and the corresponding value should be subtracted from the axial length of the manuscript to compensate, so that the printed product will meet the size requirements. This is why the files need to be deformed during post-imposition.
The parameters related to the reduction ratio are the radius of the cylinder, the thickness of the double-sided tape, and the thickness of the plate.
Reduction rate (percentage)=K/R×where R is the circumference of the drum and K is the coefficient, which depends on the thickness of the plate material used.
